About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (VSP) applies advanced education and clinical competencies to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (VSP) works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (VSP) provides health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic conditions. Prescribes medication, examines patients, diagnoses illnesses, and provides treatment. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and and works under minimal supervision. Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. Coverage Locations: W. Augusta, GA and N. Augusta, SC Schedule: Minimum of 3 weekdays.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or completion of a PA program with board certification.
  • Willing to cover 2 clinic sites CenterWell N. Augusta, SC and W. Augusta, GA
  • Minimum availability 3 days per week- Monday-Friday
  • Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in Georgia and South Carolina.
  • At least 1 year of Primary Care experience
  • Basic computer proficiency (EMR, email, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Science of Nursing /PA
  • Experience in value-based care, primary care or Medicare Advantage settings.
  • Familiarity with HEDIS quality indicators and Medicare guidelines.
  • Active DEA license and Medicare/Medicaid provider numbers or ability to obtain DEA license and/or Medicaid and Medicare numbers
