About The Position
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is seeking a certified advanced practice provider (PA-C or NP-C) to manage orthopedic trauma patients in collaboration with orthopedic trauma surgeon(s). This role involves direct clinical management using approved protocols and procedures, as well as appropriate medical consultation. The APP will evaluate new trauma patients in the Emergency Room, provide direction to hospital personnel regarding patient management, and manage inpatient orthopedic fracture patients. The position also includes work in the operating room and outpatient clinic settings. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to a multi-disciplinary team approach. Candidates must have a valid controlled substance registration with both the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and the DEA, and prior surgical and/or critical care experience in a hospital-based setting is required. Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) is a Level II Trauma Center with high annual trauma volumes, primarily blunt trauma.
Requirements
- Certified advanced practice provider (PA-C or NP-C).
- Valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and the DEA.
- Past surgical and/or critical care experience in a hospital-based setting.
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho.
- Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
