About The Position
The Northern Nevada Medical Group is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Associate/Assistant (PA) to provide inpatient care as part of our esteemed Hospitalist team in Reno, Nevada. This position is ideal for an NP or PA looking to join a growing group with a team-based atmosphere. This role involves managing day-to-day clinical responsibilities including H&Ps, consults, and rounding at Northwest Specialty Hospital (NSH) for Gero Psych and Rehab, as well as providing admissions assistance at Northern Nevada Medical Center (NNMC). Care will be documented using Cerner.
Requirements
- Board Certified NP/PA
- Nevada NP/PA license (active or eligible to receive upon time of start)
- Minimum of 1-year post-training inpatient experience (new graduates will not be accepted for this role)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and support staff with a supervising physician on the same schedule
- Manage day-to-day clinical responsibilities including H&Ps, consults, and rounding at the Northwest Specialty Hospital (NSH) for Gero Psych and Rehab
- Provide admissions assistance at the Northern Nevada Medical Center (NNMC)
- Document care using Cerner
- Provide care to Gero Psych and Rehabilitation patients
