About The Position

We are looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide Family Medicine services and Emergency Medicine coverage to the community of Ada and its surrounding area. This is a 0.6 FTE position, offering a great variety in practice, strong community involvement, and a beautiful facility. The role involves working independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. The NP/PA will care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly. The position requires high-level customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Either CALS or ATLS certification is required.
  • National certification, in applicable area.
  • Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
  • Family Medicine trained/certified to provide care for all ages.
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • ER experience a plus.

  • Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills.
  • Works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals.
  • Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly.
  • Provides Family Medicine services and Emergency Medicine coverage.
  • May round on inpatients/swing bed patients per day.
  • Provides Emergency/Walk-In weekend shifts.
  • Works with minimal supervision, being the only provider on-site at times.
