About The Position

Our Express Care team is seeking a per diem Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team. We provide convenient walk-in care for patients seven days a week, with no appointment necessary. Our centers are open Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM and Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Per Diem APPs are required to work 2 shifts per month or 6 shifts per quarter and must be willing to rotate among all four Express Care locations based on staffing needs. Express Care provides treatment for patients 18 months of age and older. Onsite radiology and laboratory services, including blood draws, are available to support timely diagnosis and treatment. Our APPs evaluate and treat a wide variety of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries with skill, compassion, and efficiency.

Requirements

Master's Degree Physician Assistant required
Physician Assistant [State License] - Generic - HR Only required

Nice To Haves

Experience as a licensed Physician Assistant preferred
1 year of Urgent Care, Primary Care, and/or Emergency Medicine experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting.
Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries.
Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
