Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Cardiology (Oakland/Castro Valley, CA)
About The Position
Sutter East Bay Medical Group is seeking a full-time Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Clinician (APC)—a nurse practitioner or physician assistant—to join its Heart and Vascular team of 20 cardiologists and four APCs. The primary work location is Alta Bates Summit Campus in Oakland, California, with coverage at the Castro Valley satellite site as needed. The position is predominantly outpatient, with an opportunity to provide inpatient care at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center. The APC will work directly with cardiologists in a team-based approach. The Heart and Vascular program provides preventive and general cardiology care as well as subspecialty services, including complex coronary interventions, structural heart and valvular procedures, electrophysiology, cardiac imaging, advanced heart failure, cardio-oncology, women’s health, and clinical research. The program serves four hospitals and multiple outpatient clinics. The position is eligible for shareholder status after 24 months of employment.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience working within cardiology.
- Current California NP or PA license.
- Active DEA registration.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with in-basket coverage is preferred but not required.
