As we continue to enhance our general Cardiology services, this position will help support comprehensive inpatient coverage at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. We are seeking a Per Diem APP who will be utilized for as-needed, day-shift coverage on the inpatient team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. The primary need for coverage is on Saturdays; however, this hire will also be able to fill in open 8-hour shifts during the week. Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions, as well as providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree Nursing required
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN-NP - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Experience as a Nurse Practitioner 0-1 year preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
  • Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
  • Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
  • Orders medications and writes prescriptions in accordance with organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
