About The Position

Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant providing comprehensive cardiology care in a 50/50 inpatient/outpatient setting at Henry Ford Health Jackson. This full-time position welcomes new graduates and offers mentorship from experienced cardiologists.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant (MSPAS/MPA)
• Current state licensure or certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• DEA

Nice To Haves

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) clinical experience
• Prior cardiology experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative cardiac clearances for surgical patients
• Manage hospital follow-up appointments and post-discharge care coordination
• Perform same-day heart appointments (patient flow triaged by RNs)
• Provide general follow-up care for established patients under cardiologist supervision
• Maintain continuity of care and patient education
• Round with cardiologists on hospitalized patients
• Conduct follow-up consultations to ensure adherence to established care plans
• Collaborate with the cardiology team on clinical decision-making and patient management
