About The Position

Metro Vein Centers is seeking a patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing outpatient vein and vascular practice. In this role, you'll work closely with our physicians and clinical teams to conduct new patient consultations, provide follow-up and post-procedure care, and perform minimally invasive medical and cosmetic treatments, including ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy and cosmetic sclerotherapy. Select locations may also offer opportunities to perform laser treatments. This is a hands-on Advanced Practice Provider role for an NP or PA who enjoys direct patient care, procedures, and building long-term relationships with patients throughout their treatment journey. Prior vein experience is not required. We provide comprehensive training in vein care protocols and procedures and welcome both early-career and experienced providers who are motivated to develop their procedural skills.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Active and unrestricted NP or PA license in the applicable state
  • Current applicable national certification, including FNP, ANP, PA-C, or equivalent
  • Ability to meet all applicable credentialing and clinical practice requirements
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent patient-facing communication and education skills
  • Confidence working independently while collaborating closely with physicians
  • Interest in developing hands-on procedural skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, procedure-based outpatient environment
  • Strong attention to detail and clinical documentation
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients
  • Collaborative, flexible, and patient-first approach to care
  • Willingness to learn Metro Vein Centers' clinical protocols, sclerotherapy techniques, and vein treatment workflows

Nice To Haves

  • Prior vein experience is not required. Relevant backgrounds may include: Outpatient or ambulatory care, Vascular or vein care, Dermatology, Cosmetic or aesthetic medicine, Plastic surgery, Interventional or procedural specialties, Women's health, Primary care, Urgent care, Ultrasound-guided procedures, Injectable treatments or sclerotherapy
  • Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
  • Candidates with a strong interest in developing procedural and cosmetic expertise are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting new patient consultations and physical assessments
  • Reviewing patient history and diagnostic ultrasound findings
  • Partnering with physicians to develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Performing ultrasound-guided and cosmetic sclerotherapy
  • Managing follow-up visits and post-procedure care
  • Educating patients about vein disease, treatment options, and expectations
  • Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently within the EMR
  • Collaborating with physicians, RVTs, Medical Assistants, and clinic teams
  • Supporting multiple nearby clinics within your market as scheduled
  • Conduct comprehensive new patient consultations, including medical history review and physical examination
  • Order appropriate diagnostic ultrasound studies and review findings as part of the patient evaluation process
  • Discuss preliminary treatment recommendations and collaborate with physicians on patient care plans
  • Perform ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy and cosmetic sclerotherapy treatments following training and competency validation
  • Perform laser therapy where available and appropriate
  • Manage follow-up appointments, post-procedure evaluations, and ongoing patient care
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, procedures, treatment expectations, and aftercare
  • Monitor patient progress and identify concerns requiring physician consultation or additional evaluation
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation within the EMR
  • Build trusted patient relationships through clear communication, empathy, and professionalism
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and clinic teams to maintain efficient patient flow and exceptional clinical care
  • Rotate between nearby Metro Vein Centers clinics within your assigned market based on scheduling and patient care needs
  • Participate in clinical training, conferences, and occasional travel to support professional development or other clinics
