About The Position

This is an inpatient and outpatient position for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Digestive Health Associates of Texas (DHAT) - Rockwall, powered by GI Alliance. The role involves seeing both new and follow-up patients, with a daily patient load of 8-14, adjusted for inpatient rounding. The position supports multiple physicians and operates on a full-time, Monday-Friday schedule. The NP/PA will provide scheduled patient services under direct physician supervision in both hospital and clinic settings, completing patient histories and physicals, determining tentative diagnoses, ordering tests, and counseling patients and families. The role also requires participation in continuing education and training to maintain credentialing, and working a flexible schedule as dictated by business needs. Responsibilities

Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician in both a hospital & clinic setting
Complete patient histories and physicals
Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests
Counsel patient and family on health and disease
Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
Work flexible schedule as dictated by business needs and operations
Perform other duties as assigned
