About The Position
Deaconess Cardiology is seeking a part-time (40 hrs./pay) Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner with Cardiology experience to join the Surgery department. The role involves split duties between inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include completing History and Physicals (H&Ps) as needed, patient education prior to procedures, ensuring consent is obtained and documented, performing post-procedure assessments, placing post-procedure orders, and patient rounding/discharge. Candidates will also see post-operative patients as needed.
Requirements
- Licensed in the State of Indiana
- Certified by the AANP as a Nurse Practitioner or certified by the NCCPA as a Physician Assistant
- Cardiology experience
Responsibilities
- Split duties between inpatient and outpatient settings
- Completing H&Ps as needed
- Completing patient education prior to procedure
- Ensuring consent is obtained and in the chart
- Assessments post procedure
- Placement of post procedure orders
- Patient rounding/discharge
- Seeing patients post Op as needed
