Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Memorial Hermann Greater Heights
About The Position
GlyCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient diabetes and glycemic management consultations at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights in Houston, Texas. The role focuses on adult hospitalized patients in Med-Surg and Step-Down units, using evidence-based protocols to adjust insulin and other diabetes therapies. Providers work in a collaborative, protocol-driven consultative model alongside hospitalists, nursing, pharmacy, dietitians, and acute care teams, and document in the hospital EMR. The position offers approximately 12 shifts per month, predictable block-style scheduling, and daytime hospital-based rounding. Schedule availability is Monday and Tuesday plus alternating weekends, with minimal after-hours phone-only call. The role does not involve ICU management, procedures, admissions, discharges, or controlled-substance prescribing. Structured onboarding, training, mentorship, ongoing education, and specialty development are provided for new graduates and experienced advanced practice providers.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license.
- NP certification as FNP, AGNP, or ACNP, or PA-C certification.
- EMR proficiency.
- Recent inpatient experience; strong new graduates with inpatient clinical training are also encouraged to apply.
- Minimum one-year commitment.

Responsibilities
