(Advanced Practitioner) NP or PA - Cardiac Services (Full-Time, Days)
About The Position
Enloe Health is a Level II Trauma Center located in beautiful Northern California, offering a full array of medical services with a mission to elevate the health of the communities it serves. This role is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Cardiac Services, working full-time on day shifts. The position offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. The Physician Assistant (PA) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) roles are similar, both providing and coordinating direct patient care under the direction of a Medical Director and onsite Supervising Physician. They offer diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare services as delegated by a physician. Both roles report to the Director of Cardiovascular Services for departmental and organizational operations and are expected to demonstrate Enloe Medical Center's core values and serve as role models.
Requirements
- Graduate of a PA educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission (ARC) on Education for Physician Assistants (or its predecessor agency) OR current certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) (PA Minimum)
- Current California Physician Assistant License (PA Minimum)
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA), if not a graduate from an accredited ARC Physician Assistant educational program (PA Minimum)
- Current CPR recognition (PA Minimum)
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application (PA Minimum)
- Meets Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to bill Medicare (PA Minimum)
- Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff Office and Finance Office (PA Minimum)
- Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing (NP Minimum)
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing (NP Minimum)
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing (NP Minimum)
- National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner within 8 months of hire (department tracking) (NP Minimum)
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application (NP Minimum)
- Current CPR (BLS) (NP Minimum)
- Meets Centers for MediCal and Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare (NP Minimum)
- Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff office and Finance office (NP Minimum)
Nice To Haves
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) (PA Desired)
- Clinical experience in Cardiology (PA Desired)
- One year clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an acute care facility (PA Desired)
- Clinical experience in Cardiology (NP Desired)
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate direct patient care.
- Provide diagnostic, and preventative healthcare services (PA).

- Report to the Director of Cardiovascular Services for all employee/employer issues regarding departmental and organizational operations.
