About The Position

BestMed Clinics, part of Community Care Partners, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide outpatient care at its urgent care and occupational medicine clinic in Laramie, Wyoming. The role is scheduled approximately 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and includes patient care, treatment, referrals, clinical procedures, occupational medicine, and telemedicine. The practitioner will work with experienced clinical teams in modern facilities and use an electronic medical record to document care.

Requirements

• Hold a current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in the state, or be able to obtain one.
• Be able to obtain DOT certification within 60 days of hire.
• Be able to obtain DEA licensure.
• Have knowledge of treatment and drug interactions.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient patient care, including procedures normally performed in an urgent care setting.
• Deliver care and treatment and make referrals.
• Arrange referrals to medical specialties not provided by the organization.
• Evaluate patients through physical examinations, establish diagnoses, and develop proposed treatment plans.
• Perform clinical procedures within the practitioner’s scope and skill.
• Communicate diagnoses and treatment goals to patients.
• Maintain accurate, complete, concise, and timely electronic medical record documentation, with attention to coding and clinical documentation integrity.
• Provide occupational and telemedicine patient care.
• Perform non-patient-facing duties such as laboratory and X-ray review.
• Perform other job-related duties assigned by the Medical Director.
