About The Position
Centurion is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its team at Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Kuna, Idaho. Centurion provides comprehensive healthcare services to the Idaho Department of Correction. Working under physician supervision in a correctional environment, the provider assists with healthcare delivery and patient care management. The role includes collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, conducting assessments, diagnosing patients, and managing medications. The position is 20 hours per week, with weekday daytime 10-hour shifts and paid shared call.
Requirements
- Maintain a nurse practitioner or physician assistant license, registration, or certification to practice medicine with physician supervision in the jurisdiction.
- Have and maintain an active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificate.
- Maintain a written collaborative practice agreement if required by state licensure.
- Pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
- Have a minimum of four years of experience working in an adult primary care or urgent care practice.
