About The Position

Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its multi-specialty oncology practice in the East Valley. The position works approximately 2–3 days per week between the Chandler and Dobson locations and partners closely with physicians to provide high-quality, compassionate care throughout patients’ cancer journeys. The role includes evaluating patients, managing oncology and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing treatments within scope, educating patients, and coordinating care across clinic and hospital settings. It also involves developing survivorship care plans and building relationships with patients and families.

Requirements

Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Arizona through the Arizona State Board of Medical Examiners.
Current DEA license.
ACLS/BLS certification.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments, take medical histories, and conduct physical exams.
Manage oncology and chronic conditions, including treatment side effects.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, imaging, and EKGs.
