About The Position

This is a 0.9 FTE position in Urgent Care. Olmsted Medical Center values its clinicians and offers a comprehensive benefits package for those employed at 0.5 FTE or higher. The role involves providing professional and ethical patient care, acting as a culturally sensitive advocate, and working autonomously or in partnership with the healthcare team. Key responsibilities include managing patient health history, diagnosing and managing conditions, providing patient education, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. The position also involves committee participation, research, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Masters or Doctorate degree (for APRNs)
  • Licensed as a registered nurse and as an APRN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing (for APRNs)
  • Certified by a national credentialing board (for APRNs)
  • Certified by specialty (for APRNs)
  • Must complete continuing education and professional development beyond formal education as outlined by certifying body (for APRNs)
  • Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program (for PAs)
  • Licensed by Minnesota Board of Medicine (for PAs)
  • Certified through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (for PAs)
  • Certification by specialty is also available (for PAs)
  • Must complete continuing education and professional development beyond formal education as outlined by certifying body (for PAs)
  • Basic Life Support (Advanced Life Support as required by your area of practice)
  • DEA registration
  • Pass background check
