About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a civilian Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Urgent Care team at the A.T. Augusta Ambulatory Care Center - Fairfax, in Fairfax Virginia. Provide high quality care to active duty service members, qualifying veterans, and their families while working alongside an exceptional healthcare team. This opportunity will offer a supportive environment with access to specialty services including pediatrics, radiology, pharmacy, and lab, all located in the same building. All patients are Tricare insured, including active military, qualifying veterans, and their dependents. The Urgent Care hours are 7am to 8pm Monday through Friday & 8am to 2pm on Saturday. The clinic sees 2-3 patients per hour and functions as an extension of the ED at Ft. Belvoir. If a patient presents with a condition exceeding the scope of the clinic, they will be transferred to the nearest ED. This is a BLS only facility with no crash carts and will not typically see overflow from primary clinics. The role includes support staff (Nursing & MA) and operates within a stable culture with Senior Physician & Nursing leadership.

Requirements

All active State licenses accepted
At least 3 years of experience working in Urgent Care / ER
Active BLS certifications
Active DEA registration

Responsibilities

Provide high quality care to active duty service members, qualifying veterans, and their families.
See 2-3 patients per hour.
Transfer patients to the nearest ED if their condition exceeds the scope of the clinic.
Work alongside an exceptional healthcare team.
