About The Position

OnPoint Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing urgent care team in a PRN capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice provider who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work alongside an experienced team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical support professionals across our six convenient locations: Aurora, Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Castle Rock, Castle Pines. OnPoint Medical Group is a physician-led network of primary, urgent, and specialty care providers committed to expanding access to high-quality, affordable healthcare. Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Colorado Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Current, unrestricted DEA registration
  • Minimum of one year of urgent care or emergency medicine experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Experience evaluating and treating patients across the lifespan
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize emergent conditions
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and patient-service skills
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-volume setting
  • Must have Urgent Care Experience and be able to see all age groups

Nice To Haves

  • PALS certification strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries across all age groups.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging within the applicable standard of care.
  • Identify patients requiring a higher level of care and coordinate timely referrals or transfers.
  • Consult with physicians and outside specialists as appropriate.
  • Provide clear follow-up instructions and patient education.
  • Complete timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Support efficient patient flow while maintaining clinical quality and safety.
  • Respond appropriately to urgent and potentially life-threatening conditions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with and mentor clinical support staff.
  • Assist with the orientation and clinical guidance of new providers and team members as needed.
  • Address patient concerns professionally and help resolve service-related issues.
  • Report equipment or supply needs to the appropriate clinical leader.
