About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our established cardiology practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of cardiologists and experienced Advanced Practice Providers dedicated to delivering exceptional cardiovascular care. The PA or NP will work in a collaborative team effort to provide a complete scope of care for cardiology patients. The provision of care includes but is not limited to analyzing pathophysiology for various cardiovascular disease processes, developing cardiovascular diagnoses while formulating a treatment plan and evaluate patient response to treatment, and utilizing evidence-based medicine practices using quality, cost-effective care. Patients will be seen in clinic only OR the PA or NP will see patients in both the hospital and clinic setting. They will be responsible for educating patients and families regarding cardiovascular disease process, including primary and secondary cardiac prevention, while remaining cognizant of the patient's emotional, physical and cultural needs - Providing effective communication and presentation skills with the interdisciplinary team. This position may also provide occasional outreach clinic coverage to Southern Minnesota, upon completion of successful onboarding and training (after a minimum of 12 months).

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current MN RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP or ANP.
  • Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the MN State Board of Medical Practice.
  • Active BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date.
  • DEA registration required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior clinical experience preferred but not required.
  • New graduates may be considered.
