About The Position

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Gastroenterology division in the NWWI Region. This is a growing practice that provides gastroenterology services. The selected candidate will support the practice by seeing patients primarily in the inpatient hospital, independently in the Eau Claire location, and potentially in the outpatient clinic. The NP/PA will work closely with physicians and allied health staff on a multi-disciplinary team, providing comprehensive assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating diagnoses, developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring therapeutic interventions, and prescribing medications and therapies.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current WI RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP, ANP or ACNP.
  • Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the WI State Board of Medical Practice.
  • Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.
  • Prior GI, family practice, gerontology, or other APP experiences (though new hires will be considered).
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex patient populations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a treatment plan.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
  • Prescribe pharmacological agents and non-pharmacological therapies.
