About The Position

Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to see patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role offers flexible scheduling, including a 4-day work week, with potential for inpatient, outpatient, or hybrid roles. Telemedicine/remote work is available for experienced GI APCs. The position includes extensive onboarding with graduated patient volumes and strong mentorship, system-wide EPIC EMR with ambient listening, and a supportive team culture. Requirements

• Practitioners must have basic Internal Medicine knowledge.
• For Nurse Practitioner - Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, federal and state DEA license and ANCC or AANP certification required.
• Minimum of one year experience for Nurse Practitioner.
• For Physician Assistant - Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required.
• Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required for Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• See patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Expand comfort level with colon screenings, altered bowel habits (diarrhea/constipation), anemia, GI bleeding, reflux/GERD, abdominal pain, weight loss, nausea/vomiting.
• Over time, manage more complex liver and bowel disease.
