Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Endocrinology
About The Position
The Division of Endocrinology is looking for an outpatient NP or PA to join a dynamic and growing endocrine practice. The team currently consists of eight advanced practice providers, eight physicians, a team of nurses, diabetes educators, administrative support professionals, residents, and fellows. This position is primarily focused on outpatient practice at the Scottsdale location, seeing approximately 9 patients per clinical day. Additionally, the outpatient team is cross-trained to provide coverage for the inpatient endocrinology service several times a year at the Phoenix location. This is a collegial and hard-working team that prioritizes patient needs. Working collaboratively with physicians, the advanced practitioners care for serious and complex patients. During the selection process, candidates may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that can be completed at their convenience. A question will appear on the screen, allowing time for consideration before responding. Answers can be re-recorded, and only the final recording will be reviewed by Mayo Clinic staff. Candidates will be notified of the next steps.
Requirements
- New Grads with RN or clinical experience in Endocrinology will be considered.
- Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.
- Nurse Practitioner: Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a ANP or ACNP.
- Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Physician Assistant: Current PA certification by NCCPA.
- Physician Assistant: Registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.
- Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date.
- DEA registration required.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient endocrine practice care.
- See approximately 9 patients in a typical clinical day.
- Provide coverage for the inpatient endocrinology service several times each year.
- Care for serious and complex patients in collaboration with physicians.
