Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Infusion
About The Position
Join IVX Health as a Nurse Practitioner supporting our Williamsburg infusion center in Brooklyn, NY! This role follows a four-day workweek schedule designed to provide flexibility while meeting patient care needs. The majority of shifts are standard daytime hours (typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), with occasional early and late shifts as part of the regular rotation. IVX Health is seeking an NP to provide high-quality, specialized infusion therapy in an outpatient setting. As a Nurse Practitioner at IVX Health, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering personalized, compassionate care to our patients. With your expertise in infusion therapy, you’ll oversee patient care, collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, and serve as a trusted resource for patients, families, and providers. You’ll ensure every treatment is delivered with precision and care, making a real difference in patients’ lives.
Requirements
- Active and Unrestricted Licenses – Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and Registered Nurse (RN) license (if required by the state).
- Board Certification – AANP or ANCC certification required.
- Life Support Certifications – BLS certification required.
- Strong IV and Infusion Therapy Skills – Experience with specialty biologics, medication management, and emergency response protocols.
- Proficiency in Clinical Documentation – Experience with EHR systems and a strong understanding of HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional Communication & Collaboration – Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Nice To Haves
- PALS certification preferred.
- Background in an ambulatory infusion center, outpatient specialty clinic, or similar setting is a plus.
- Ability to Treat a Diverse Patient Population – Must be able to care for both adults and pediatrics—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver on-site and virtual supervision while administering infusions and injections with precision.
- Perform evaluations, document SOAP notes, and monitor treatment responses.
- Guide patients and families through treatment expectations, potential side effects, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, review nursing documentation, and uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards.
- Assist with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline patient visits.
- Work closely with referring providers and cross-functional teams to enhance care coordination.
- Assist in inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.
- Work at multiple facilities within a designated market as needed.
- Take on other responsibilities as assigned to support patient care and organizational objectives.
