Nurse Practitioner - Gastroenterology
About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for a Nurse Practitioner in an Outpatient Cardiology / Electrophysiology Clinic in Mayfield Heights, OH. The role involves providing clinical care only, with a coverage period from 11/30/2026 to 03/21/2027. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with options for either 8a-4p (5 shifts/week) or 7a-5p (4 shifts/week). The patient census is 12-16 patients per shift, with 30-minute visits for acute established patients, regular established follow-ups, and hospital follow-ups. The Nurse Practitioner will manage the clinic inbox and patient messages with RN support. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system and has multiple physicians and APPs available for specialty backup, along with dedicated MA/LPN/RN support staff. There are no procedures required or preferred for this role. The credentialing timeline is 60 days.
Requirements
- Compact or Ohio license required
- CNP, PA, or CNS accepted
- Local candidates only for telemedicine services
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient Electrophysiology clinic care.
- Evaluate acute established patients, regular established follow-ups, and hospital follow-ups during 30-minute visits.
- Manage the clinic inbox and patient messages with RN support.
- Collaborate with multiple physicians, APPs, and dedicated MA/LPN/RN support staff.
- Work scheduled Monday–Friday clinic shifts with no call responsibility.
