About The Position
A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Seattle area is actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner – Gastroenterology (GI APP) to join its growing specialty team. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. This role involves providing outpatient gastroenterology care, including the evaluation and management of GI conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, liver disease, and GI bleeding. The Nurse Practitioner will perform patient consultations, follow-ups, and preventive screenings, and collaborate closely with gastroenterologists on treatment plans and care coordination. Responsibilities also include assisting with pre- and post-procedure care for endoscopic procedures, educating patients on diet, medications, and lifestyle modifications, and ordering/interpreting labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies. Accurate documentation in EMR systems is essential.
Requirements
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Active or eligible for Washington State licensure
- Active/eligible DEA registration
- Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

- Prior experience in gastroenterology, internal medicine, or primary care preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient gastroenterology care, including evaluation and management of GI conditions
- Assess, diagnose, and treat conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, liver disease, and GI bleeding

- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
