About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Family Medicine team in Allen, TX. This role involves performing comprehensive patient care, including history and physical exams, follow-up care, health maintenance, and initiating appropriate treatments and testing. The Nurse Practitioner will also provide patient counseling, document clinical care, perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, and communicate effectively with patients and their families. Participation in quality improvement initiatives is also expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical exams on new and established patients and those being seen for follow up appointments.
• Consult with the supervising physician as needed.
• Provide follow up and health maintenance care to patients in accordance with established protocols or specific instructions from the supervising physician.
• Initiate appropriate treatment and testing required for evaluation of illness based on training and experience.
• Provide counseling and instruction to patients regarding health related issues.
• Document clinical care of the patient according to established guidelines.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as indicated by training and experience and as directed by the supervising physician.
• Communicate with patients and family members within state law confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines concerning health related questions.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement process and other initiatives in the area of employee’s practice.
