About The Position
Prime Healthcare is currently hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support our cardiology team in Chicago, IL. This position offers the chance to work in a high-acuity cardiac care setting alongside board-certified cardiologists, providing outpatient and limited inpatient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois
- Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with cardiology experience
- ACLS and BLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience in cardiology or internal medicine preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and cardiac evaluations
- Manage chronic cardiac conditions such as CHF, CAD, arrhythmias, and post-MI care
- Assist with medication management, lifestyle counseling, and patient education
- Collaborate with cardiologists to monitor and adjust treatment plans
- Support post-discharge follow-up and transitional care
