About The Position
Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider for its established neurosurgery practice in Plainville. The role offers one-to-one training and mentorship from two neurosurgeons and a physician assistant who enjoy teaching. Advanced Practice Providers with first-assist capability may have operating-room time, alternating with another surgical physician assistant in the office. The practice performs advanced minimally invasive surgeries and has an established staff focused on patient care. The position is per diem and provides backup to the neurosurgeon backup call. Hartford HealthCare offers onboarding, ongoing mentorship, and job, classroom, and procedural training to newly graduated and experienced providers.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner master's program.
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Connecticut.
- Certified or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
Nice To Haves
- For operating-room coverage or first-assist participation, more than two years of experience as a surgical physician assistant in neurosurgery (spine and cranial) or orthopedics is preferred.
