Full Time or Per diem ICU Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
About The Position
Kent Hospital, a member of the Care New England Health System, is seeking a full-time or per diem ICU Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their collaborative team in Warwick, Rhode Island. This 359-bed acute care facility is the largest community hospital in Rhode Island. The successful candidate will be an essential member of the team, primarily responsible for managing a caseload of critically ill complex patients in a critical care setting within the ICU (14 beds) or Step-Down Unit (10 beds). The role involves 100% clinical practice, seeing an average of 15 patients per day, with inpatient management (averaging 3-4 patients) and consults (averaging 12 patients). Procedures include intubations, central lines, lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, and arterial lines. The position requires 13 shifts per month, with rotating days and nights (7 am-7 pm and 7 pm-7 am), or potentially all night shifts. Per diem shifts are also available, requiring a minimum of 2 shifts per month.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board Certified
- Active Rhode Island PA, CSR, and DEA license or eligible.
