This role supervises nurse practitioners who are responsible for patient evaluation, testing, diagnosis, plans of care, and treatment within the UCSF Center for Reproductive Health. As a supervisor, you will receive assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the processes to achieve them. You will collaborate with physicians, surgeons, APPs, and other clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient management based on accepted practice. This includes performing histories and physicals, pre-operative planning, coordinating with outside providers and PCPs, responding to changes in patient status, and providing prescriptions, evaluations, referrals, and treatments as permitted under standardized procedure. You will also provide home health services, DME, DMV evaluations, referrals, consultations, PT, order diagnostic tests, and specialized treatments (e.g., chemotherapy with approved privilege). Patient and family education, arranging follow-up appointments, and engaging in approved privileges after demonstrating competency through proctoring or FPPE are also key responsibilities. Independent practice for approved privileges will be identified on the ECHO website, and procedural activity will be logged and monitored via the eLOG system.
