About The Position

The Nurse Navigator RN supports patients throughout their cancer care journey, coordinating care and providing education and advocacy from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up. The role serves as a trusted resource for patients, families, and caregivers, helping them overcome healthcare system barriers and navigate the continuum of oncology care. The Nurse Navigator collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and internal and external stakeholders to support a high-quality, efficient, and safe patient experience. The position is part of a patient-centered hematology oncology program with providers, clinical team members, and clerical support staff working across an oncology clinic and infusion center. It is a full-time, day-shift role with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends or holidays.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Two years of nursing experience.
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN®), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP®), or Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Specialist (AOCNS®) at time of hire or within three years after hire.
