Nurse Navigator

Rovi Health
$50 - $60Hybrid

About The Position

Rovi is an AI-powered care concierge and virtual clinic for employer health plans. We monitor clinical data in real time, catch expensive care before it gets scheduled, and redirect members to higher-quality, lower-cost options. When someone has a condition we can treat directly, we do that through our own virtual clinic. The problem we’re solving: in-network prices for the same procedure vary up to 10x within a single zip code. A hospital MRI costs $3,000. The independent imaging center ten minutes away charges $500. Same scan, same quality. But nobody tells the patient, the doctor doesn’t know the price, and the employer won’t see the claim for months. So the expensive option wins by default, every time. Rovi changes that. We deliver high-quality care to member before they choose the expensive or low-quality default. Our AI-native clinic allows us to treat and navigate care, meaning we can reduce outpatient spend by over 30% while improving health outcomes. We’re live with 30,000 patients today and adding thousands more each month. We’re backed by Y Combinator, Lightspeed, Gradient (Google’s AI fund), Liquid 2 (Joe Montana), and others. You’ll join a small team of nurse navigators at Rovi and play a defining role in how clinical navigation works here. We’re building a navigation platform that enables clinicians to coordinate and deliver care. We want you to focus on the cases that require real judgement and relationship building, and reduce the noise of administrative and booking activities. You will help us build the system that gets us there. Day-to-day, you’ll own a panel of members, manage their care across providers, and handle inbound clinical questions, all from our navigation platform. You’ll work under physician oversight for clinical decisions and escalations. You’ll also surface what we should build and what to fix to make the product better serve your and your patient’s needs. This is a fully remote role with the option to work in-person at our NY office. All member interaction is virtual with no in-person care component.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with meaningful time in care coordination, case management, population health, or telehealth
  • Strong clinical documentation - you can explain a care gap to a member in plain language
  • Comfortable working asynchronously in message-based workflows - you don’t need a phone call to manage a patient well
  • BSN preferred; ADN considered with strong care coordination or case management experience
  • Active RN license; NLC compact licensure required, NY and CA required or willing to obtain

Nice To Haves

  • CCM or ACM certification
  • Spanish fluency

Responsibilities

  • Triage inbound clinical questions: Members text us with symptoms, questions, and requests. You will assess urgency, determine level of care required, provide recommendations, and route them accordingly. This will range from reassuring minor questions to recognizing when a member needs emergency care and making sure they get it.
  • Navigate members to the right care: When someone needs a specialist, imaging, or procedure, you find the best option on quality and cost, get the appointment booked, and follow through until the request is complete. Our navigation platform makes this process smooth, so you can focus on applying your judgement and tailoring the care journey for the patient.
  • Manage proactive member care: You will drive outreach based on standing clinical protocols, reviewing data-based recommendations and proactively engaging members before small problems become bigger ones. When a member has a new diagnosis or an open referral, you make sure the right next step is happening and flag patterns that should inform new protocols down the line.
  • Work within a supervised clinical structure: You’ll document interactions clearly and escalate to your supervising physician when clinical judgment calls for it. You'll work at the intersection of clinical judgement and technology, helping define how the platform enables your work.
  • Shape the clinical product: What should the navigation dashboard surface? Where do current capabilities fall short? What gets in the way of spending more time with patients? You will work directly with Rovi’s founders and product team on these questions and play a critical role in shaping the product. This is roughly 25% of the role.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ($50-60 / hour; 1099 contract with path to full-time)
