Requirements

  • Graduate of a state board-approved Registered Nurse (RN) program
  • Current Iowa RN license in good standing
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with MDS process
  • Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (or willingness to obtain)
  • Completion of the Iowa mandatory supervisory course (or willingness to complete within 6 months)
  • Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct resident care while mentoring and supporting all levels of care staff
  • Identify and manage infection control practices; educate team members on proper precautions
  • Oversee and participate in MDS processes — including scheduling and transmitting assessments
  • Supervise and guide direct care staff to ensure the highest standards of care are met
  • Administer medications, treatments, and physician-ordered care with precision and accountability
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, supervisors, and family members regarding resident needs and progress
  • Foster a team-oriented, compassionate, and professional environment
