About The Position

Embark at Hurricane - Stabilization and Assessment is a residential treatment center that provides a nurturing, home-like atmosphere for highly acute adolescent males and their families. The center specializes in addressing complex issues such as traumatic stress, family dynamics, relationship challenges, and mental health concerns, all with a focus on family-centered healing. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about helping adolescent boys reach their full potential, particularly those studying, planning to study, or working in psychology, behavioral science, social work, or a related field.

Requirements

  • 21 years old or older
  • Current driver's license and a good driving record
  • Ability to learn and perform CPR and First-Aid
  • Skill in de-escalating agitated students
  • Ability to pass a Utah State background check
  • Willing to get Food Handlers Permit before first day of work

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Behavioral Health or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Walking clients through their day-to-day activities
  • Collaborate with therapists to implement interventions aligned with each client's treatment plan
  • Relaying any pertinent information over to the treatment team
  • Consistent and thorough documentation and reporting
  • Crisis prevention and management
  • Maintaining a safe environment for clients
  • Daily light housekeeping; sweeping, cleaning up/putting things away, dishes, etc.
  • Contribute to meal preparation while promoting healthy eating habits
  • Attend and engage in group sessions with clients, fostering a sense of community
