The Medical-Surgical 4 West unit provides high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with diverse medical conditions and surgical needs, focusing on healing, patient safety, and recovery through evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration. As a Medical Surgical Nurse, you will provide care to patients admitted to this unit, often funneled from other units, offering opportunities to build expertise in specialized areas like cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency. Success in this role requires enthusiasm, a patient-first mindset, keen assessment skills, critical thinking, a sense of urgency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Diploma Of Nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Registered Nurse: AZ
  • Basic Life Support
  • One year recent acute care experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing
  • 1-3 years experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift
  • Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
  • Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging
