About The Position

Career Land Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead Emergency Services for a large tertiary healthcare organization in Dallas, Texas. This leadership opportunity is suited for a nursing professional with strong emergency care experience, progressive management responsibility, and a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams. The Nurse Manager will provide overall leadership for Emergency Department services, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient patient care. This position works closely with nursing leadership, physicians, clinical teams, and other departments to maintain high standards of care and continuously improve operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
  • Current RN license in Texas or an active compact RN license.
  • AHA or ARC BLS Provider certification.
  • AHA or ARC ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • TNCC certification required within 18 months.
  • ENPC or CEN certification required within 18 months.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing management experience.
  • Experience supervising staff, including leadership or supervisory positions.
  • Experience with budget preparation and resource management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong physician relationships.
  • Experience resolving operational and patient care challenges.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced nursing degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and evaluate daily nursing operations within Emergency Services.
  • Plan, organize, and direct patient care activities in accordance with professional nursing standards and organizational policies.
  • Develop and recommend policies, procedures, and programs that support quality improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with physicians and other clinical leaders.
  • Supervise and develop nursing staff, including supervisory-level team members.
  • Address operational, staffing, and patient care concerns in a timely manner.
  • Participate in budget planning and resource management.
  • Monitor quality initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate activities across a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Promote a professional environment focused on patient safety, teamwork, and quality care.
