About The Position

Living Center South is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership within our Long Term Care environment. The Nurse Manager plays a vital role in advancing quality outcomes, patient safety, and an exceptional resident and family experience, while fostering a supportive, collaborative, and professional work environment for staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nurse program
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience or two (2) years of Long Term Care experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with staff, residents, families, physicians, and healthcare team members
  • Demonstrated leadership and management competencies
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of management systems, quality improvement, and performance evaluation
  • Familiarity with New York State DOH requirements
  • Computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software
  • Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan
  • Ability to assess resident needs and deliver age-appropriate care within assigned areas of responsibility
  • Position involves occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
  • Tasks may include contact with blood, body fluids, and tissue

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree in Nursing or related field
  • Prior management or leadership experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and Meditech

  • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure uncompromising quality of care and resident safety
  • Create an environment that promotes staff development, empowerment, teamwork, and best nursing practices
  • Allocate resources effectively to support efficient, compassionate, and fiscally responsible care delivery
  • Coordinate care across departments to support interdisciplinary collaboration and communication
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, orientation, education, credentialing, and retention of nursing staff
  • Ensure compliance with New York State Department of Health (DOH) regulations and organizational policies
  • Model and promote a customer-focused healing environment that supports dignity, respect, and resident well-being
  • Use data and analytical skills to assess departmental needs, implement improvement initiatives, and evaluate outcomes
  • Support project management initiatives while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
