About The Position

Resources for Human Development is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Manager to oversee the medical aspects of their programs. This role involves supervising Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) within a region, ensuring quality care for residents with complex medical and psychiatric needs. The Nurse Manager will provide leadership, coordinate care, manage medication systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with leadership to advance nursing practice. This is a full-time position with a salary of $113,000 per year, and DailyPay is available.

Requirements

  • Current license as Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities, co-occurring diagnosis of behavioral health and addiction disorders, homelessness, community support services, group residential facilities or similar patient populations.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a supervisor role, preferably in a clinical or community-based medical setting
  • FBI clearance, as needed
  • All trainings required by licensure

Responsibilities

  • Manages the medical aspects of the program’s services and provides supervision and oversight of other Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) within a given region.
  • Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, advanced nursing skills, and the ability to provide direct care and oversight for residents with complex medical and psychiatric needs.
  • Provides strong, trauma‑informed leadership to nursing staff; builds a cohesive team; ensures quality care across all shifts.
  • Ensures coordinated care through effective scheduling, provider communication, and clinical quality monitoring.
  • Maintains safe, compliant medication systems across multiple sites and coordinates with pharmacy partners.
  • Ensures compliance with licensing, regulatory, and organizational standards through precise documentation and auditing.
  • Effectively manages operational systems that sustain the nursing department across two programs.
  • Maintains professional, trauma‑informed communication with staff, residents, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Provides leadership during medical and behavioral crises to stabilize residents and maintain safety.
  • Upholds ethical standards, trauma‑informed care, and organizational values in all interactions.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Nursing Administration and program leadership to advance nursing practice across the organization.
