Emory Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in cardiac nursing to join their dynamic 23-bed unit, specializing in the care of patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions. This includes advanced heart failure, pre and post interventional cardiology, managing vasoactive drips, left ventricular assist devices, and pacemaker placements. Additionally, the nurse will manage conditions such as COPD, GI bleeding, pneumonia, chest tubes, urinary tract infections, electrolyte imbalances, and liver/kidney disease. Furthermore, the nurse will be responsible for managing a wide range of therapies, including chest tubes, tracheostomies, pain and diabetic management, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis, and IV antibiotics. The unit maintains a targeted nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care. Job Summary: The Nurse Manager plays a key leadership role within the nursing and clinical teams, overseeing daily clinical and operational functions to ensure seamless patient care across the care continuum. This role demands a dynamic leader capable of managing both clinical excellence and operational performance, all while ensuring that patient care remains the top priority. The Nurse Manager will lead staff, drive clinical practice development, and manage patient care delivery, while being accountable for team performance, quality, safety, compliance, financials, throughput, and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director of Patient Care Service, the Nurse Manager will develop, implement, and evaluate systems that promote high-quality, cost-effective, and safe care.
