About The Position

Community Rehabilitation Hospital South is a state-of-the-art, 44-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. Community Rehabilitation Hospital South strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. We are accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for our Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and our Stroke Rehabilitation and Amputation Specialty programs.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
  • CPR/BCLS certification.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS preferred.
  • CRRN Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of previous nursing leadership preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of previous rehab nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Functions under the direction and supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer and assumes responsibility for the Nursing Department.
  • In collaboration with the CNO and leadership team assists to implement, interpret and ensure compliance with policies and procedures including regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Supervises the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, RNs, LPN/LVNs, CNAs/Nas and Unit Secretaries.
  • Responsible for implementing hospital goals and objectives based on budget parameters.
  • Reinforces the mission and vision of the hospital in all interactions.
