About The Position
The Nurse Manager oversees the Cardiac Cath Lab at Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. The manager evaluates the activities of Cardiovascular Laboratory employees to ensure quality patient care, develops goals, policies, and procedures, and participates in performance improvement activities. The role is full-time, works day shift for 40 hours weekly, and carries 24/7 department accountability.
Requirements
- Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
- A minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
- Five years of Coronary Care Nursing and/or Cardiovascular Lab experience.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Proficient in interpreting EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings.
- Able to operate Cardiovascular Laboratory equipment, including pressure injectors, a hemodynamic monitor, and a cardiac output computer.
