About The Position
Reputable healthcare facility near Mankato, MN is seeking a full-time, permanent Med Surg Nurse Manager to join their growing team. This role involves maintaining the standards of nursing care, implementing hospital and nursing department policies, and ensuring each patient on the unit has an individualized, comprehensive care plan. The Nurse Manager will collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer and staff to develop educational goals and competencies for the unit.
Requirements
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a formal leadership role (e.g. charge nurse, team lead, assistant manager, nurse manager)
- Looking for a leader in the Med Surg Department
Responsibilities
- Maintains the standards of nursing care
- Implements the policies and procedures of the hospital and nursing department
- Assures that each patient on the unit has a comprehensive care plan that is individualized to meet his/her needs
- Works with Chief Nursing Officer and individual staff to develop educational goals and competencies for all assigned to the unit
