Requirements

  • Current RN or LPN License from the State of Maryland.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in geriatric nursing including two (2) years of experience as a Charge Nurse/Manager in geriatric care with progressive experience in an administrative and supervisory capacity.
  • Current CPR required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • IV certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees 24-hour nursing care for assigned unit in compliance with policies, regulations, and long-term care standards.
  • Coordinates care across disciplines to ensure continuity, quality, and resident satisfaction.
  • Leads quality assurance initiatives, conducts audits, and implements corrective actions.
  • Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff; manages schedules, performance, and staffing needs.
  • Maintains accurate medical records, ensures compliance with medication procedures, and participates in care plan meetings, surveys, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Provides clinical support, restorative care oversight, and effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams while fostering a positive, professional work environment.
