About The Position

The Nurse Manager reports to the Director of Clinical Services and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination of nursing staff and aides. This position will also participate in direct patient care. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Valid registered nurse license and CPR, required
Previous experience in a dialysis setting, required

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day workflow in the clinic as it relates to patient care
Provide ongoing training to nursing staff
Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
Prepare patients for various procedures and/or examinations and assist physicians, as needed
Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax or phone as authorized and appropriate
Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
Assist patient by providing direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed
Ensure patients have received all necessary educational materials
Schedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests and provide scheduled dates to the patient
