About The Position

Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing quality healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities. It has been ranked a top hospital in South Carolina for its treatment of heart attack, heart failure, and pneumonia. Services include emergency medical care, orthopedic surgeries, maternity, and behavioral health services. Aiken Regional is a teaching facility that supports local nursing students through its dedicated and tenured nursing team. The Nurse Manager ensures effective unit operations at two Free-Standing ED/ER locations (Sweetwater & Martintown) by mentoring and providing direct supervision of the unit's staff. This role promotes professional growth, learning, and facilitates the development of a fully qualified and continuously improving staff. The Nurse Manager collaborates with the quality department and other hospital leaders to redesign and lead performance improvement activities to enhance care delivery and efficiency throughout the organization. The position holds 24-hour accountability for operational effectiveness and is responsible for planning and executing both the operational and capital budgets in collaboration with the Director of the Emergency Department and the CNO. The Nurse Manager ensures clinical practice is evidence-based and closely aligned with the goals of physician partners, and promotes a positive working environment and creates a culture of safety for their nursing staff and patients. Requirements

  • BSN required
  • Minimum of five years nursing experience required
  • Previous leadership experience required
  • Current South Carolina RN license
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • Knowledge of human resource management
  • Knowledge of program development
  • Fiscal management skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree preferred
  • Management experience preferred
