Requirements

  • Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS upon hire and maintain current.
  • A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
  • PALS upon hire and maintain current.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
  • NRP certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

  • Manager of Emergency Department is responsible for the day to day management and coordination of all activities in the Emergency Department.
  • Supervises and monitors performance of the Emergency Department staff.
  • Interacts with the physicians, hospital staff, outside agencies, patients and patients families/significant other(s) to provide comprehensive care.
