Nurse Manager - Pediatrics
About The Position
CoxHealth is seeking a Nurse Manager for their Pediatrics department. This role utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess patient needs, identify a plan of care, and implement and evaluate care. The Nurse Manager coordinates and directs care provided by team members, addresses system issues to facilitate quality and efficient care, and provides oversight and management of operational, regulatory, and business processes. The position leads the department in facilitating change, fostering innovation, and self-development to achieve excellence in operations, patient safety, and quality. Excellent communication, leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills are required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- At least one year of management experience
- RN License active in the state of Missouri
- Excellent communication skills

- Working knowledge in human relations, customer service, inventory management
- Ability to work with multiple people while meeting numerous requests and deadlines.
- Goal oriented with initiative and potentials for self-development.

Responsibilities

- Provides oversight and management of operational, regulatory, and business processes across the department.
- Leads the department in facilitating change, fostering innovation and self-development to achieve excellence in operations, patient safety and quality.
- Represents the department on several process improvement, standardization, and regulatory committees.
- Operates strategic plan by setting and monitoring department Key performance measures and goals.
- Determines department scope of care or service in relation to values, mission, and strategic plan of the institution.
- Assist with developing long term department plans.
- Delegates appropriately to other team members.
