About The Position
The Clinical Research Services (CRS) of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) integrates multiple clinical sites across San Francisco and Oakland that provide services to clinical research investigators. The CRS provides an array of services, such as Nursing Services, Sample Processing Laboratories, and Body Composition and Exercise Laboratories. The CRS is the largest NIH funded program in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. The Nurse is responsible for the assessment of patient needs, implementation of research protocols and nursing interventions, and evaluation of outcomes. The Nurse is responsible for facilitating medical research based on individual protocol requirements data collection and/or collection of specimens within the CTSI Clinical Research Center for the implementation of approved protocols. This position requires professional nursing knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with other members of the health care team. The position requires the knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide competent patient care. The Nurse reports to the Assoc. Nursing Director or Charge Nurse for shift duties. The Nurse will collaborate with all interdisciplinary services.
