About The Position

Lead the planning and opening of a new General Care Pediatric unit and provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Pediatric Float Pool, supporting care for patients from newborn through adolescence. This role involves providing strategic and operational leadership for pediatric procedure services, directing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care programs to achieve high-quality clinical and operational outcomes. The Nurse Manager will also lead workforce and budget management efforts, including staffing (FTE oversight), budget preparation, and fiscal accountability, while fostering staff retention and a supportive professional work environment. Additionally, the role drives quality and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring patient, family, staff, and physician satisfaction through effective procedures and continuous quality control measures. The Nurse Manager will lead daily operations and interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring efficient workflow, effective communication, and a team-based environment that supports safe, high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BSN).
  • Three (3) years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Three (3) years of progressive leadership experience.
  • RN Licensed in State of Wisconsin.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science – Nursing (MSN) or MS in relevant area.
  • Five (5) years of progressive leadership experience within same or relevant practice area.
  • Certification in relevant specialty.
